The surveying world is shifting fast in 2026, and Trimble's team of experts has pinpointed six trends you'll want to know about. Reality capture isn't just for specialized firms anymore, it's becoming something any surveying company can use. At the same time, common data environments are finally catching on across the industry, giving you a central place to store everything from design files to as-built data instead of having information scattered everywhere. Add in smarter autonomous systems on job sites, fresh opportunities in long-term asset management, better connectivity between different software platforms, and the growing emphasis on 3D visualization—and you've got a landscape that's creating real opportunities to do more than just deliver traditional survey products.

Wingtra - SURVEY61: Discover the tech behind the new GCP-free workflow and 6× faster surveys
|
You face constant pressure to move dirt quickly while keeping track of volumes. Less accurate measurements and outdated surveys are always threatening to throw your earthworks budgets off, by a lot.
Wingtra built SURVEY61 to solve this. It delivers <0.1 ft / <3 cm accuracy without the need to lay down GCPs, so you can capture reliable volumes faster, more often and with less disruption.
