Improve employee aptitude regarding Trimble Terrestrial Scanning and Processing to include the Trimble TX series 3d Scanners and processing that data within Trimble RealWorks.
As the technology of surveying equipment has advanced and kept pace with the technological advancement of society, survey staff need to continually modify and improve their workflows and processes to achieve the accuracies and efficiencies required by clients. This training will provide the material to put in place the workflows and develop the processes needed to meet those requirements.
This workshop will provide technical staff with the knowledge they need to use the software to register scans, clean up point clouds and provide 2D and 3D deliverables. The primary objectives are to increase field & office efficiencies and reduce the time and effort of collecting and processing 3D scan data.
Efficiencies require new workflows and processes regarding topics such as collimation and optical instrument adjustments. After this training, the expectations will be for your staff to utilize the equipment to achieve high precision and accuracy with 3d scan data. This “hands-on” training offered by Vectors Inc. will allow you to fully implement and achieve the accuracies and precisions the instruments are capable of.
Learners will be exposed to and work with:

- Basic tools
- Production tools
- Modeling tools
- Scan Explorer
Learners must arrive with Trimble RealWorks successfully installed on a laptop computer that meets or exceeds the minimum requirements for Trimble RealWorks:
- Microsoft® Windows® 10 – 64-bit
- Processor: minimum 2.8 Ghz (Quad-Core) or higher, (additional cores with Hyper-Threading support strongly recommended)
- RAM: minimum 8GB (16 GB and higher recommended)
- VGA card: OpenGL 3.2 compatible with minimum 1GB VRAM (3GB or higher recommended)
- 3-button mouse
- Solid State Drive (SSD) for maximum performance (pref. 256 GB) – strongly recommended.
